The official start to summer was kicked off this weekend and I think we are all more than ready for the long lazy days this weather brings.
It’s also nearly time for the infamous June Brides to sashay down the aisle. In toast to the crazed bride-to-be, I figured it’d be a great time to highlight some of my Wedding lenses at Squidoo, that have been gaining traffic lately.
- Zoo Wedding – This was created to highlight some of the details used in our wedding held at the local zoo. It’s earned a purple star and is one of my top lenses.
- Carnation Flower Pomanders – Curious about creating your own fresh flower kissing balls, here’s a tutorial explaining how I made mine.
- Ostrich Feather Centerpieces – We used lots of feathers in place of of fresh flowers on our tables. The centerpieces still had lots of wow factor and I was able to resell the feathers after the wedding was over. Something you can’t do with fresh floral centerpieces.
- DIY Ideas for a Budget Bride – I had 18 months to plan our wedding and in that time went through a lot of ideas that went unused, some of them are captured here.
- Sandals Whitehouse – Our favorite place to vacation. A Jamaican resort review with loads of pictures from our honeymoon and return visit on our 2nd anniversary… we really need to start planning for our next trip.
- Moissanite Vs. Diamond – It all started with a ring, a moissanite engagement ring. This lens details my research that made me choose moissanite over diamond.
Now that I’m a Squid Giant I was also invited to participate in the Angel Program and was appointed angel over the Engagement & Wedding Rings Neighborhood. This means I try to review all existing and new lenses and give the ones that sparkle a blessing. Blessings give you a small boost in lens rank which can help your page get noticed and stay up in the ranks. As an angel I also try to weed out some of the junk lenses, which unfortunately this neighborhood has a few of.
If you’re a self proclaimed expert in something, consider joining Squidoo. It’s free to join, and you can earn advertising and sales revenue from the pages you create. I created my first page in 2006 and have received steady pocket cash each month for several years now. In fact, I should break the $1K mark in total income earned since starting Squidoo in the next couple months. Not bad, considering I earned the majority of that money with less than a dozen lenses and minimal effort. I kicked up my Squidoo activity not even 6 months ago, and should see my $2k earnings earned much more quickly.
